Historically the site moved their wet meats using bulk tipping trailers. We mooted the idea on the award of this contract that we would investigate a more suitable solution of moving this material from the customers waste area to our nominated disposal locations.

Scope: Historically the site moved their wet meats using bulk tipping trailers. We mooted the idea on the award of this contract that we would investigate a more suitable solution of moving this material from the customers waste area to our nominated disposal locations. We felt they needed a more secure solution for their pet food waste which protected them from auditors/regulatory authorities and safeguarded their brand.
Period: April 2019 – February 2020
Results: We designed and implemented a solution which removed the need to use bulk tippers and enabled the customer to put the material into road tankers.
Outcome: The customer was able to increase yields per vehicle visit from 12t to full 25t loads. This increased the efficiency of the customers staff utilisation, it reduced the amount of vehicle movements to and from the customer location in turn reducing net costs and also had a positive effect on their carbon footprint.
