Hemswell Clean Tech Green Energy Partnership
Renewable Green Power
Hemswell Biogas Limited (a part of the BioteCH4 Group) has established a new power connection with Clean Tech UK Limited.
This partnership provides a circular economy and will provide Clean Tech’s recycling factory at Hemswell with up to 3.6 Megawatts of renewable green power.
Clean Tech operates the UK’s largest post-consumer bottle reprocessing plant and is the UK’s leading food-grade rPET manufacturer. Every individual PET bottle they recycle saves the creation and use of raw materials and reduces waste. For every tonne of rPET they produce, they save 1.581 tonnes of C02.
Scope:
Clean Tech work hard to ensure they have a positive and sustainable environmental impact and the work they have done with the environmental team here at BioteCH4 ensures the impact the business has on the environment has a minimal impact.
Outcome:
During the period of February – April 2021 Hemswell Biogas will supply all Clean Tech’s current power requirements, which are equivalent to the electricity used by around 8,500 average homes.
