In For the Long Haul

With over 60 years’ expertise in the food waste business and over 30 years’ experience in the anaerobic digestion industry, you can rest assured that you’re in safe hands when you work with us.

Right from the very beginnings of our business, we’ve made sure that we focus on creating a team of highly knowledgeable staff, with a wealth of experience across various industry sectors, so that our customers receive the best possible service for their individual needs.

Working with BioteCH4 as your trusted waste management partner ensures your needs are looked after.

We provide a cost-effective solution for local authorities and the commercial sector, understanding and delivering on all your food waste requirements, across our strategically located network of AD sites around the country.

At present the haulage industry is looking at a shortage of over 60,000 driving jobs, which could be set to increase as the year goes on and we see further implications of the Covid-19 pandemic. With a national mass shortage of LGV driving test spaces, things aren’t set to ease any time soon.

We’re all directly experiencing some aftereffects of the pandemic and as our business is one of the lucky ones to have experienced growth throughout this time, we know that this success wouldn’t have been possible without the long-standing, trusted and experienced haulage partners we work with to support our customers.

They’re a valuable link between ourselves, food manufacturers, food distributors and the local authorities providing a trusted, timely and high-quality service allowing us to streamline our processes giving our customers the best possible experience even throughout difficult times.

When discussing the topic of haulage and the support our partners give us earlier this month, our Chief Commercial Officer, Lee Dobinson commented “We have key partnerships within the haulage supply chain which enable us to continue supplying our customers with the high-quality service they are used to receiving.”

As part of our fleet expansion earlier this year, our Changing Waste site invested in new tankers, tractor units, and food waste containers which allow us to collect food waste in bulk and liquid form and distribute the finished product throughout the group AD facilities for the process of anaerobic digestion.

In addition to our own fleet of vehicles we work very closely with several haulage firms up and down the country too.

While we see the benefit of owning our own fleet of vehicles, for specific areas of the country, we work with a large network of trusted haulage partners to collect and deliver the food and oil-based waste we need to keep our facilities running smoothly.

Working with a partner on your haulage needs has many benefits.

  • No idle vehicles – making best use of vehicles, route planning and ensuring a greener transportation operation for our customers.
  • Expert knowledge –as experts of moving food waste, we can advise on the right vehicles for the right job.
  • Saves time – we use their expert planning and knowledge to ensure we save our customers time and money
  • Flexibility – they allow us the ability to transport large amounts of food waste, safely and securely.
