Celebrating Diversity Across the Group

International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.


Typically, the AD industry is not known to have a huge representation by female leads, but we like to think here at BioteCH4 we buck that trend.

We know our current and future success lies with our expert teams across the UK and we are delighted to announce this week the appointment of Angela Parr, Finance Director for the BioteCH4 group.

Angela will be joining the group next month and brings with her 30 years of finance experience from both Corporate and Private Equity arenas. Angela has worked as part of the executive team and at director level for the last 6 years in the AD and Recycling sector. Angela, a qualified accountant, started her career in Internal Audit as a Trainee from university. She is passionate about continuous improvement, and actively champions the Finance team role within the wider commercial and operational areas of the business. Angela has a wealth of experience to call upon having held senior finance positions in the Automotive, Financial and Fuel Distribution sectors. We are thrilled to have her on board.

Our people love where they work and enjoy the challenges their jobs provide. Across our businesses we offer variety too. We support and promote the growth of our people and in the development of their own skills through our training programmes.

So, this International Women’s Day we thought we would introduce you to a few of our team playing key roles within the day to day running of our business. We have lots of women who are instrumental in keeping things ticking over across all our sites, but we have chosen a few to give you an indication of the variety of roles females hold across this typically male dominated business.

Introducing...

Vicky Peat - HR, IT & Quality Manager. Vicky works closely with the site’s management teams and takes lead on all aspects of Human Resources, IT, Marketing and plant administration processes for the group. She is responsible for leadership of business standards and requirements across the group and acts as a “hub” for assistance and support within these parameters.

She has over 11 years’ experience in the energy sector having previously worked as head of HR with an energy consultancy. She is an advocate for continual development and improvement and seeks out further knowledge, skills and qualifications to add to her portfolio.

Linzi Whiting - Planning & Administration Manager. Linzi’s background is in finance, waste management and transportation and she is focused on the planning, booking and administration procedures within the group.

Linzi works closely with the commercial team dealing with the input and output of waste and strives to make sure waste management paperwork compliance is met. She has 8 years' experience in the Financial and Insurance sector, and 14 years in the Waste Management / Transport Sector with 6 of those being in Anaerobic Digestion.

Jacqueline Stott – Managing Director at Harris Tobias. Jacqueline joined Harris Tobias in 2002 as part of her university course and returned upon completion of degree in 2004. Jacqueline has covered all areas within the company, starting in administration and logistics, with some accounts and trading.

Today she covers all areas of trading whether it be oils & fats or products for recycling. She has had a key role in helping to develop the ‘food waste’ recycling part of the business and still has an active interest in finding solutions and alternative technologies for customers.

We value every one of our staff, the vital role they play across various areas of our group’s businesses and the impact they have on the role we’re all playing towards transforming food waste for good and working towards a greener future.

As ever, we would like to finish this with a thank you to every member of our family, particularly as we travel through these unprecedented times. Without them, we would not be in the strong leading position we are, heading into another great year in the creation of green energy.
