David Parkinson – Group Health & Safety Manager

We’re delighted to announce that with immediate effect, David Parkinson joins EnriCH4 Ltd as Group Health and Safety Manager. David has worked within the group based purely at one site now for the last two years and works closely with Robin Cockerill our Environmental & Compliance Manager.

David’s background is within multi-disciplined site coordination/management and he has over 10 years of safety training in processes and heavy plant. Having commenced his career in the marine and dredging industry where environmental and safety issues were key, David now applies his experience in safety and training towards the AD industry.

David’s role is to work closely with the management teams across each of our sites and their teams advising, training and consulting on all aspects of Health & Safety issues, this involves liaising with the HSE, Environment Agency, APHA, DEFRA and local authorities to ensure all relevant safety and compliance legislation is complied with.

A qualified heavy plant instructor, a competent handler of training around the health and safety of working with and using chemicals and non-hazardous substances, David will continue to train, guide and advice across the group as part of our on-going staff learning and development.

David is also responsible for assisting managers on each of our sites to identify potential opportunities for improvement and compliance.

He will ensure that across the BioteCH4 group, we’re considering the health and safety of not only our staff, but our visitors and the safety of our sites themselves. For example, he’ll work with our teams on all aspects of health and safety guidelines, ensuring they are followed, that we’re complying across a range of other areas within his remit such as manual handling, explosive regulations and fire safety regulations.

When he’s not out and about doing his day job, you can find him at our Changing Waste site working closely with Robin on our Health and Safety 'road map' for 2021. It’s safe to say, that when you’re working with David, you’re in safe hands!

If you should have any questions around the Health and Safety operations at any one of our sites, then please get in touch with David -

Welcome David and many congratulations!
